True modularity in your hands
Suunto Combo enables you to easily and quickly create different kinds of consoles.
The fully modular concept of Suunto Combos allows you to create a personal combo according to your specific needs. Analog gauges, dive computers and compasses fit together like building blocks, giving you the possibility to add as many instruments as you like.
The Suunto Combo modules and instruments can be combined in an almost infinite amount of combinations, allowing you to change or upgrade your combo configuration whenever and however you want.
The Suunto combos consist of four main modules: the pressure gauge module, the instrument module and two different compass modules.
The pressure gauge module is designed for the Suunto pressure gauges and it can also be used with the Suunto Quick Release (QR). The instrument module can be fitted with Suunto dive computers or with the Suunto analog depth gauges. Depending on your choice, an SK-7 compass module can either be fitted on the backside of the pressure gauge module or on top of the pressure gauge or instrument module.
The Suunto Combo modules are made of Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU). TPU is extremely durable and flexible, it does not get easily scratched, and it keeps its form. It is also suitable for sub-zero temperatures. The Suunto Combos have a curved and ergonomic design that fits in the hand comfortably.
No matter what your diving goals may be, the Suunto combo consoles can help you fulfil them because of their extremely versatile and easy-to-use functionality.
If you love new challenges and aim at diving in as variable conditions as possible, you will find the Suunto combo consoles extremely useful. From tropical diving paradises to Arctic conditions, now they are all at your reach.
SM-36 PRESSURE GAUGE
The extremely compact Suunto SM-36 tank pressure gauge incorporates a safety-pin-type tube and a gear mechanism, which provide outstanding accuracy and durability.
The clear and bright phosphorescent dial face provides excellent readability, also in demanding conditions. The SM-36 pressure gauge can be attached directly to HP hose, or fitted in the Suunto Combo consoles.
The SM-36 pressure gauge is suitable for 300bar tanks. The Suunto CB-One console housing can be fitted to this pressure gauge. Also CB-Two In Line console can be fitted with SM-36 pressure gauge.
SM-16 DEPTH GAUGE
The Suunto SM-16 depth gauge features a reliable Bourdon tube mechanism with a gear system, a maximum depth indicator, a zero-in facility for high altitude diving and a phosphorescent dial face.
The scale is 45m. The SM -16 is available as a wrist or console model. The console CB-two in line can be fitted with the depth gauge SM-16.
SK-7 Compass
The high-quality liquid filled Suunto SK-7 has set a new standard for dive compasses. The device features 2-3 times larger tilt potential than in conventional diving compasses and provides easy-to-read numerals.
The superior SK-7 has an exceptional tilt potential of +/-30 degrees, which is 2-3 times larger than in conventional diving compasses. The firm-grip bezel with a ratchet at every fifth degree is especially designed to prevent sand and dirt contamination, thus allowing smooth turning in all conditions. The compass is available as wrist, console and hose-mounted models.
The SK-7 can also be fitted on the Suunto Cobra dive computer. It has easy-to-read numerals on a phosphorescent compass card and a large side-reading window.
By adding different Suunto Combo consoles to the SK-7 compass, you can create a personal console accorging to your specific needs. For example, CB-double can be made by adding the SK-7/DS compass to the reverse side of the CB-One. Or you can configure your CB-one console to a CB-Two by adding an SK-7 compass on top. If you add the SK-7/DS compass on to the reverse side of the CB-Two In Line, you got a CB-Double in Line. And CB-Three In Line console is made by adding a SK-7 compass on top of a Two In Line console.
Compass Balancing
The horizontal and vertical components of the earth's magnetic field vary considerably in different locations. For this reason Suunto compasses are balanced for 5 different zones. If the compass is used in an adjacent balancing zone, many compass pointers will tilt only slightly. However, the farther a compass is used from its correct zone, the more its pointer tilts. In extreme cases, the pointer will stick. For this reason, it is extremely important to know in which country a compass will be used.
• Tilt potential of +/- 30°
• Phosphorescent compass card
• Large side-reading window
