Front-adjustable jackets allow multiple variations of fit, regardless of the thickness of suit worn. Quick release adjustable shoulder buckles make this style BC very easy to put on and take off. Buoyancy control & safety Enabling the diver to react quickly to changing conditions and providing sufficient lift capacity are the necessary elements of a safe jacket. Thanks to the new AirFlex Technology System and its high capacity bladder, T-Black provides the highest buoyancy lift of any of our T-line BCs. With its bungee enclosures, AirFlex offers extra stability and allows for quick deflation. All jackets need a minimum internal volume to allow sufficient air to be injected inside to reach neutral buoyancy and, when needed, to create lift for the ascent and flotation on the surface. European Union norms require a minimum lift capacity in relation to the size of the tank used, measured in kilograms. The right lift is a comfort and a safety issue because a jacket also needs to be streamlined to reduce drag in order to save energy when swimming.
Apeks XTX50 Regulator
The XTX50 regulator can be converted from a right handed hose configuration (as supplied from the APEKS factory in the standard) to a left handed one. This feature is known as the Reversible Venturi System (RVS). Changing the regulator to a left handed configuration is both quick and simple and can be performed by any APEKS Authorised Service Technician. The XTX50 regulator incorporates the new feature of Diver Changeable Exhausts system (DCE). This system gives the diver the ability to change from a small exhaust tee to a large exhaust tee. This gives the user a choice of the wider exhaust tee for minimal bubble interference (essential for underwater photography) and the narrow exhaust tee for a smaller compact comfortable regulator (ideal for use as an octopus regulator). The XTX50 regulator incorporates a new two-shot high strength plastic front cover, improving the durability of the most vulnerable part of the demand valve. The new ergonomic Venturi lever of the XTX50 has been designed to reduce the amount of grit ingress. A new swivel hose connection is available at an extra cost. This allows the demand valve end of the hose connection to rotate and pivot, providing a more comfortable fit.
